Success Stories
Hoarty-3 well in Nebraska, USA
In 2019 our founder Nikolay Larin led the pioneering geoscientific effort to drill the world's first dedicated natural hydrogen and helium exploration well as a chief geoscientist for the Hoarty-3 project in Nebraska, USA
This groundbreaking initiative exceeded expectations discovering up to 44% of hydrogen and up to 12,8% helium in gas coming to the surface. The successful exploration well proved possibility of commercial extraction of natural hydrogen and helium
Positive exploration results across the world
Our founders have established an impressive global portfolio of hydrogen source identifications spanning six continents, including significant discoveries in the USA, Mongolia, Morocco, India, Oman, Australia and Egypt
Through deployment of our proprietary geological assessment methodologies we've confirmed hydrogen streams in diverse geological formations, validating our exploration models and expanding the potential for natural hydrogen as a viable global resource for energy and feedstock for many products

Clean Hydrogen Projects Challenges
High investment and operating costs, poor exploration success rates and market skepticism create significant barriers to clean hydrogen development, with technical expertise shortages further complicating progress
Green Hydrogen Projects Delays and Cancellations
Projects facing 18-24 month delays and h cancellation rate due to:
Huge Investments Required
Initial capital expenditures of $500-800 million for 100MW facilities, with ROI timelines extending beyond 8-12 years. Major projects face significant budget overruns, forcing scaled-back deployment plans
Energy Inefficient Production Process
Electrolysis requires 55 kWh of electricity per kg of hydrogen produced, with efficiency losses of 50% while producing electricity from this hydrogen. Production costs remain stubbornly high at $4-12/kg compared to $1-2/kg for gray hydrogen and $0.5% for natural
Lack of Infrastructure
Only 5,000 km of hydrogen pipelines exist globally versus 3 million km for natural gas. Conversion costs of $0.5-1M per kilometer deter investment, while fewer than 750 refueling stations worldwide limit end-user adoption. H2 infrastructure projects face 2-3 year delays in distribution network development
Decreasing Government Incentives
In recent times, several governments worldwide have reduced financial support for hydrogen projects, leading to the postponement or cancellation of numerous initiatives. This trend reflects shifting policy priorities, economic constraints and evolving assessments of hydrogen's viability in the energy transition
Money Wasted on Natural Hydrogen Random Drilling
Misleading Geological Concepts
Traditional geological models focusing on serpentinization have led to exploratory wells failing to yield commercial quantities. Serpentinization is a geological phenomenon where ultramafic rocks rich in iron and magnesium undergo metamorphic transformation upon reaction with water. This phenomenon can take place in many locations around the world but speed of reaction is so low that industrial quantities of hydrogen are impossible to achieve
Lack of Natural H2 Exploration and Extraction Know-how
The industry is now in its infancy stage comparable to times of rise of oil&gas sector 130 years ago. There are plenty of sophisticated techniques and instruments that could be used for hydrogen exploration and extraction but specific know-how is yet to be developed. Today H2Valley has the most advanced knowledge regarding natural hydrogen exploration and extraction

Our Foundations for Success
H2Valley delivers unsubsidized hydrogen at competitive market prices with significantly lower investment requirements, while maximizing profitability through strategic helium extraction and optimal resource positioning
Our business model is built on six fundamental pillars that create exceptional value for our partners and stakeholders. By focusing on natural hydrogen and helium exploration, we've developed a sustainable approach that outperforms conventional hydrogen production methods across all key metrics
Lower Investments and Operational Costs
Our approach reduces CAPEX by 30-50% compared to alternatives. Natural H₂ cash costs around $0.5/kg versus green H₂ ($4-10/kg) and blue H₂ ($2.3-4.5/kg)
This dramatic cost reduction stems from our innovative geological model that identifies naturally occurring hydrogen conduits (streams). By targeting these natural sources, we bypass energy-intensive production processes, eliminating the need for expensive electrolysis equipment and carbon capture technologies. This strategy significantly reduces both initial investment requirements and ongoing operational expenses while maintaining exceptional output quality
Market-Competitive Pricing
We offer hydrogen at market price without requiring state subsidies. This contrasts with significantly more expensive green hydrogen production methods with costs exceeding the market price
Our competitive pricing strategy ensures long-term market viability regardless of changing government incentives or subsidies. While other hydrogen producers struggle to achieve profitability without external financial support, our natural hydrogen extraction model maintains healthy margins even in challenging market conditions, providing stability for investors and reliability for customers
Strategic Helium Value Capture
Helium concentrations of 1-4% yields 87% profit margins. With $90 market price and $12 cash cost, helium boosts project net profits 2-5 times!
This "dual-resource" approach creates a natural hedge against hydrogen market fluctuations. As a globally scarce resource essential for medical imaging, semiconductor manufacturing, and scientific research, helium demand continues to outpace supply, creating exceptional profit opportunities. Our geological expertise allows us to target formations with optimal helium concentrations, maximizing this valuable revenue stream while delivering a critical resource to high-tech industries worldwide
Infrastructural Independence
Our geological model allows finding H₂ and He sources close to consumers. This improves business profitability and ensures secure supply chains
By locating extraction operations strategically near industrial centers or transportation hubs, we minimize distribution costs and reduce carbon emissions associated with long-distance transport. This proximity advantage overcomes one of the major barriers to hydrogen adoption — the lack of developed distribution infrastructure. Our decentralized approach enables regional energy independence and resilience against supply chain disruptions while maximizing economic efficiency
Revolutionary Earth Hydride Concept
Our approach is supported by compelling multi-disciplinary scientific evidence
Distinctive seismic anomalies in Earth's deep mantle and core reveal vast streams of primordial hydrogen emanating since planetary formation. Deep-sourced gases display characteristic hydrogen isotope signatures, while ultra-deep diamonds contain hydrogen-rich inclusions from depths exceeding 600km. Documented natural hydrogen seeps worldwide, combined with advanced computational models, indicate Earth's core and lower mantle provide continuous hydrogen streams — a transformative resource for global energy needs that fundamentally changes our understanding of available energy resources

Our team brings over 40 years of specialized expertise in geological hydrogen exploration
With decades of field experience and technical innovation our specialists have developed unmatched capabilities in identifying and accessing natural hydrogen and helium deposits. This deep expertise translates into higher discovery rates, more efficient extraction processes and superior project outcomes for our partners. Our proven track record spans multiple continents and geological formations, ensuring reliable performance across diverse operational environments
These six pillars combine to create a business model that delivers superior returns on investment while contributing to global energy security and sustainability goals. Our approach addresses the key economic challenges that have historically limited hydrogen adoption, paving the way for widespread implementation without requiring massive infrastructure investments or ongoing subsidies
